The legend lives on
The Winnetou novels written by Karl May were an important part of our childhood here in Germany. Reason enough for our client RTL to breathe new life into these timeless stories: they will be showing the modern remake in a three-part series this Christmas. We developed the microsite for it and we’re already looking forward to rediscovering Winnetou’s wonderful adventures.
A big stage for a big event
For the microsite to accompany the festive film showing, one thing was clear: we needed a big stage! The impressive images and trailers form the core of the big TV event. So, to complement the navigation we created a big stage with lots of photo and video insights into the story and its characters. From there the user can directly access all navigation items. Whether cast, trailer or fan shop – the horizontal navigation is always accessible to the user. The simple and consistently used interaction elements, to close, scroll or control, guide the user effortlessly, also on the deeper navigation levels, through Winnetou’s world.
A navigation by your side
The horizontal navigation is always accessible to the user. With simple and consist interaction elements for closing, scrolling or triggering the user can explore Winnetou´s world easily- also on deeper navigation levels.
Visual imagery in harmony with the theme
With great care, the microsite and its interaction elements have been coordinated to the visual imagery of the films and communication materials from RTL. Accompanied by the unmistakeable Winnetou sound this resulted in a consistent omnichannel Wild West feeling that completely immerses the user in 19th century America.
