Land of Virtual Education – An interactive brand platform for NIVEA
With ‘Land of Virtual Education’ (L.O.V.E.), we have developed an innovative, modular web platform for NIVEA that transforms training courses into an immersive learning journey. The interactive 3D environment brings the new brand strategy to life in a playful way and strengthens the brand knowledge of Beiersdorf's international marketing teams.
A digital island paradise as a learning environment
The experience is designed as a virtual island world where various ‘brand topics’ are explored. New employees are immersed in the world of NIVEA and explore content relating to brand positioning, communication guidelines and brand history, among other things.
A new brand experience for employees
The challenge: to communicate the values of NIVEA's new brand positioning in a way that is understandable and sustainable worldwide. Instead of traditional e-learning, the platform uses gamification and interactivity to turn employees into real brand ambassadors.
Direct integration into the existing learning platform
Individual performance, participation and analytics are recorded through the connection to the Beiersdorf Degreed learning and upskilling platform. This allows learning progress to be tracked and content to be continuously optimised.


Optimised for global use and sustainable learning
The WebGL-based platform is specially optimised for desktop use and can be used worldwide without barriers. Over 30 interactive modules, mini quizzes and playful elements encourage active engagement with the brand. This means that employees don't just experience the brand strategy passively, but engage with it in a lasting and interactive way.
Scalable and expandable
The platform is already actively used by NIVEA and can be flexibly expanded with new islands or optimised content.
